Wikiask:What questions to ask?
Short answer:
Complex questions, where the answer is not a word or number on a database.
The ideal question is complex[edit]
The ideal type of question to ask is one where the answer is complex and requires nuance.
Some good examples:
- Why does Grayscale BTC (GBTC) trade at a discount? (Explanation).
- Does Cloudflare censor websites? (Looks like a yes-or-no question, but the answer is in the middle, nuanced.)
- Did Michael Peterson kill his then-wife Kathleen Peterson? (Again looks like yes-or-no, but the answer is explanatory.)
- Are humans already too late to stop climate change? (Ponderation).
Avoid questions that are too simple[edit]
In contrast, questions to avoid are those whose answer is short, simple, and can be found on a database.
These are questions that a search engine or an AI can easily answer. Some examples:
- What is the height of Lebron James? (Answer is 1 number.)
- What is the first movie of John Wayne? (Answer is 1 title.)
- Who is Agatha Christie? (Wikipedia answers this.)
